The Fulbright Program

Led by the United States government in partnership with more than 160 countries worldwide, the Fulbright Program offers international educational and cultural exchange programs for passionate and accomplished students, scholars, artists, teachers, and professionals of all backgrounds to study, teach, or pursue important research and professional projects.

The following opportunities are currently open to all Belarusian citizens who meet the eligibility criteria irrespective of their current place of residence: 

  • The Fulbright Foreign Student Program enables Belarusian citizens to research and study for up to two years at U.S. universities to pursue master’s degrees in various fields.

  • The Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program brings Belarusian scholars to lecture and/or conduct postdoctoral research at U.S. colleges and universities.

  • The Fulbright Faculty Development Program provides promising junior university faculty with the opportunity to participate in a one-semester, non-degree program. Program activities include observing courses, developing curricula, gathering resource materials, attending conferences, collaborating with U.S. colleagues, giving presentations.

  • The Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement (Fulbright TEA) Program brings Belarusian secondary-level educators to the United States for a six-week professional learning opportunity at a host university. Participants take part in academic seminars, observe and co-teach in U.S. classrooms, and collaborate on best educational practices with educators and students at the host university and at local secondary schools.

  • The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program brings outstanding mid-career professionals to the United States for one year. Fellows participate in academic study and gain professional experience.
